The Director of Financial Institution (FI) Sales is responsible for achieving and exceeding revenue and operating goals for an assigned Team. The Director will work with Senior Leadership to set the strategic direction for the team, oversee management of accounts, attainment of revenue quota's and performance goals, and to manage and mentor the sales associates.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and mentor Sales team: Provide strategic insights and support for all Sales Associates. Mentor new sellers by supporting their growth, vertical expertise, management of accounts and ability to drive new business opportunities. Ensure all associates are meeting and exceeding their revenue targets, performance goals and ability to exhibit the core competencies. Ensure an effective, collaborative and supportive relationship between sellers and support teams. Evaluate employee knowledge and skill gaps to ensure they are receiving any training/upskilling needed. Address performance concerns in a timely and effective manner. Ensure all sales activity for associates is accurately and timely captured in appropriate CRM. Develop and mentor sales associates toward individual career goals. 50%
Drive strategies to maintain and grow revenue, secure new business and retain existing business: Manage the team to meet and exceed the assigned revenue targets. Ensure new business development expectations are being met by sellers. Focus team on selling with data and insights; selling solutions that best meet the clients initiatives. Lead and mentor the team on: selling with insights, creating a story or vision for clients that leads to proposing creative omni-channel solutions. Responsible for overall success, and associate understanding, of all phases of the sales process. Participate in key account and new business meetings as needed. Facilitate relationships with key clients. Effectively engage internal partners to help win and secure revenue opportunities. Understand and effectively communicate all portions of the business to all internal and external stakeholders. Ensure appropriate support departments are properly engaged and meeting the needs of the team. 40%
Implement processes, policies, procedures and strategic initiatives: Support and implement new products, technology and strategies as rolled out to the sales organization. Provide feedback to senior management on industry trends, strategies and challenges. Establish/maintain working relationships with internal personnel. 10%
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree (Required)
Master of Business Administration (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE
15+ years' Sales experience including Business Development and Account Management
Sales leadership experience required
Experience in the Financial Services Industry; experience working with or for banks or credit unions, highly desired
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Ability to effectively coach to success.
Consistent track record of success in achieving and exceeding annual quota and business objectives.
Knowledge of market research, business statistics, profitability and pricing models, sales, promotion, advertising practices, marketing principles, selling techniques, and distribution channels.
Proven leader in sales results including lead generation, solution selling and closing sales.
Sales reporting and forecasting.
COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTS
All internal and external levels of contact. Communication and cooperation between the teams and company is maximized primarily in the areas of Marketing (Sales & Marketing), Operations, and customer feedback.

Position is eligible for a sales incentive/commission program.
The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
