A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Supports clinical study teams with the following:

    • Document coordination - creates and manages the clinical study files and oversees the organization and distribution of clinical study documents.

    • Data coordination- actively participates in the development and testing of case report forms, study reports, and study databases based on protocol requirements

    • Ensures timely and quality completion of data forms, verifies study data, and generates, manages, and resolves data discrepancies.

    • Identifies issues in documents, memos, correspondences, and telephone calls that require action. Recommends alternatives and executes an alternative when appropriate.

    • Study communications- may draft and send weekly/monthly clinical study progress communications and take meeting minutes during team meetings.

    • May process compensation & identify and resolve compensation discrepancies.

    • Assists with periodic audits of clinical study files for completeness and accuracy.


Required Knowledge and Experience:
Requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Nice to Have:


  • Proficiency in MS Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project (or similar scheduling software), project management techniques and tools; and web-based applications

  • Clinical research, regulatory, or quality/compliance experience at a medical device, pharmaceutical company, or research office in a clinic or university setting.

  • Works with a high quality and compliance mindset. Experience in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance guidelines for clinical trials

  • High sense of accountability/urgency. Ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a changing environment.

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and an eye for quality.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$53,200.00 - $79,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
