Description: Our client is currently seeking a Telecommunications Engineer **MUST HAVE STRONG CISCO EXPERIENCE**
Hybrid role out of Providence, RI location Client unable to provide sponsorship at this time
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Responsible for system management, engineering, design, administration and maintenance of digital voice, VoIP-UC network communications systems, ensuring consistent, reliable, and uninterrupted service.
Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to respond to system alarms, perform initial troubleshooting and coordinate timely resolution with appropriate vendor support teams.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience with VoIP telephone systems, voice mail systems, access/carrier systems and related power plants, including in-depth working knowledge of VoIP-UC communications networks preferred.
Experience in Cisco VoIP-UC networking technology preferred
Familiarity with Cisco IOS, CUBE, Webex calling, Expressway C/E, jabber
Familiarity with linux/shell and virtual machine environments.
VoIP-UC certifications preferred.
Experienced in working with SIP VoIP systems
Experience with troubleshooting VoIP/SIP issues independently and with vendor support
