Job Description:

As a Psychiatric Administrative Specialist at Nystrom & Associates, you will be the first point of contact for clients - cheerfully greeting clients, answering phones, registering and scheduling clients, collecting co-pays, and acting a liaison between our mental health professionals and our patients. You will primarily be responsible for assisting telehealth providers with rooming patients and taking vital signs, electronic health records management, assist with administrative staff tasks and duties.

You will be part of a team of mental health professionals that specialize in psychiatric evaluations, out patient therapy, and family therapy. We are committed to helping patients in our community who are experiencing personal, emotional, marriage, family or psychological problems. You will play an important part in that process by actively listening to patients' needs and showing empathy to every patient you speak with.

Hours:

Monday - Thursday 7:45am - 4:15pm and Friday's 8:30am - 5:15pm


Job Duties:

Interacts with all patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism
Room patients and assess applicable vital signs including, but not limited to height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse
Ensure seamless coordination of care by scheduling patient appointments and collaborating with providers using multiple computer systems
Maintain a clean and organized workspace and telesuite by managing patient paperwork, office supplies, and other amenities
Handle patient concerns and crises with empathy and patience and collaborate with site leadership to resolve as needed
Collaborate with clinical staff regarding patient care issues and scheduling
Participate in front office tasks such as checking in patients for appointments, collecting payments, answer inbound and make outbound phone calls, electronic filing, scanning, faxing, mailing
Attend mandatory meetings and trainings
Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

Highschool diploma or equivalent
Experience working in health care facilities and an interest in behavioral health preferred
Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in technology and computer use including Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Ability to manage stress while navigating difficult situations and escalated patient interactions
Keep all business information strictly confidential
