Your Next Career Opportunity – Assistant Construction Supervisor

The primary function of this position is to assist with the management of the construction/colocation process to produce quality sites to customer specifications within the timeframe and budget required by planning, coordinating and managing multiple projects. This position is also responsible for assisting with the coordination and supervision of field team members and subcontractors. Acts as a company representative to clients with responsibility for ensuring all deliverables are clearly communicated to internal team and met within budget and timeframes specified.

What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities


  • Assist with the planning, scheduling, prioritizing and organizing material deliveries, equipment, manpower and subcontractors to ensure projects progress effective and efficiently. Consider company priorities and customer expectations in all decisions.

  • Assist in the pre-construction process to properly identify site level scope of work required by the client.

  • Attend bid walks and submit documentation to management as required.

  • Facilitate effective communication within construction services and all other applicable departments within the company. Maintain open communication with internal/external field team members and respond, if possible, or convey their needs and concerns to appropriate team.

  • Assist with compiling job level information and financial summaries for Work in Progress reviews.

  • Ensure all appropriate building permits, NTP(s), and lease status approvals have been received prior to initiating construction.

  • Coordinate delivery of material and equipment to job sites.

  • Update all applicable construction services project/program databases.

  • Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on customer specifications and produce quality sites, which meet or exceed customer expectations.

  • Assign, review, submit and provide feedback to subcontractors and self-perform crews on customer closeout documentation.

  • Track customer and SBA provided assets and inventory as needed.

  • Maintain and enforce all SBA and OSHA safety practices. Immediately stop work on any site where unsafe work practices or conditions exist, regardless of who is performing the work. Participate in job site safety meetings with all employees and subcontractors, as applicable.

  • Ensure that all work progresses according to schedule. Immediately notify management of any schedule, quality or budget impacting issues that cannot be resolved. Perform desktop review of completed work and have any deficiencies corrected, prior to crews demobilizing from site.

  • Provide documentation to Management for preparation of project deliverables to client.

  • Assist with building permit pickup, inspections and closure.

  • Assist with the preparation of reports, summaries, proposals and correspondence for management and clients.

  • Assist the Project Controls Group with recurring tasks such as: reviewing purchase orders (PO's), billing, change orders, project budgets, job level financial performance, accounts receivables and collections.

  • Assist management with confirmation of hours worked and work performed by employee(s) and subcontractors.

  • Review purchase order requests (POR) for accuracy and track pending PORs.

  • Assist with the coordination of new hire onboarding and with training as needed.

  • Assist management to develop and build subcontractor base.

  • Perform other related duties as required to ensure a safe workplace, quality construction and timely completion of each project.

  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need – Qualifications & Requirements

    • H.S. Diploma/GED in related field of study. Bachelor's degree preferred;
      • and 1+ years of construction or equipment installation experience. Wireless telecommunications experience preferred.


    • Demonstrated knowledge and intermediate proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.

    • Domestic Travel 20% of the time Evenings and weekends as required.

    • Valid Government Issued Driver's License

    • Other OSHA 10Hr Safety Course Pref

    • Other CDL Pref

    • First Aid Certification (Adult) Pref

    • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Pref

    • Forklift Certification Pref
