Position: Senior Data Analyst
Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066
Duties: Partner with business stakeholders to understand business problems and translate them to data or mathematical problems. Identify and recommend appropriate analytical and data science solutions. Identify the correct data sources and extract data writing SQL queries. Perform data quality checks on extracted data. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor various aspects of omni-channel marketplace platform and supply chain compliance. Perform data analysis using different statistical techniques such as hypothesis tests, confidence intervals, and time series analysis using relevant software packages in Python and Jupyter Notebooks such as Pandas, Numpy, SciPy, and Scikit-learn. Analyze supply chain data using different geospatial data analysis techniques such as geospatial clustering, indexing, and grid systems using software packages in Python such as Geopandas, H3, and Folium. Build and test machine learning and statistical models. Present use cases and give examples to demonstrate how the model would solve the business problem. Build data pipelines to retrieve data for different analytical needs using SQL and Python. Generate data visualizations to create reports and dashboards using Tableau, Looker, and Python. Present results of analysis to the team and business audience using appropriate data visualizations and convey clear messages to drive data driven decisions. Monitor data quality by continuously measuring and monitoring data quality. Resolve data quality issues and guide data cleansing activities to remove data quality defects, improve data quality, and eliminate unused data. Assist in data science and analytics research projects by building proof of concept solutions. Guide and mentor junior team members.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering (any), Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Finance or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering (any), Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Finance or related field and 2 years of experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
Skills required: Experience translating business problems into data or mathematical problems and recommending data science and analytical solutions. Experience writing SQL queries to extract data from Google BigQuery, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL databases. Experience monitoring and maintaining the data quality of data sources using SQL, Python, and Tableau. Experience defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor business. Experience creating data visualizations and building dashboards using Python, Looker, and Tableau. Experience performing data analysis by applying statistical techniques using Python and Jupyter Notebooks. Experience building and testing supervised and unsupervised machine learning models using Python. Experience researching analytical methodologies and solutions. Experience presenting analytical results to technical and non-technical business partners and executives. Experience building data pipelines using SQL and Python. Experience analyzing supply chain data using geospatial data analysis techniques in Python. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $134,100/year to $202,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
