Position: Senior Software Engineer

Duties: Research, innovate and develop cutting-edge machine learning models and algorithms with high-dimensional, complicated unstructured, and structured data. Experiment and process large-scale e-Commerce datasets using distributed computing platform, mining insights from data, discover and build models that optimize towards various business goals and metrics. Build advanced feature extraction algorithms that feed into various advertising applications, including audience targeting, relevance and ranking, measurement, and optimization. Build machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, active learning algorithms to continuously drive ads relevance and conversions; build end-to-end systems and solutions to optimize advertising products performance. Develop model automation and production system operations such as building Machine Learning data pipeline, logging, telemetry, and alerting using big-data technologies to process large-scale datasets using the distributed computing platforms. Conduct large-scale A/B testing and offline/online experiments to evaluate performance of new machine learning models which serve hundreds of millions of ad impressions per day.



Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years of experience in software engineering or related area.



Skills required: Experience with Automated ETL Data Pipeline Development including building, processing, and storing large datasets utilizing big data technologies and distributed computing platforms. Experience with Machine Learning Workflow including data pipeline construction, model training, evaluation, validation, and advance feature engineering in Python, Spark, PySpark, and Scala. Experience with Advanced machine learning model development and maintaining cutting-edge machine learning models, including constructing advanced deep learning architectures using PyTorch. Experience in object-oriented programming with Python and CUDA. Demonstrated knowledge of advanced Machine Learning, Model development using Machine Learning, Deep learning, and Reinforcement learning. Experience conducting independent research for designing and building state-of-the-art deep learning models and Reinforcement Learning algorithms in Pytorch. Experience with Cloud Computing in utilizing cloud platforms for developing scalable and reliable applications. Experience with Data Manipulation and Database Proficiency while extracting and manipulating data using SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hive, and programming languages including Python, Spark, and Scala. Experience with A/B Testing and Business Metric Analysis by designing and launching A/B tests in production environments and analyzing key business metrics in ad tech. Experience with Fundamental Algorithms and Data Structures for efficient coding in Python and Java. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.




Salary Range: $170,227/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
