Responsible for the training of new associates and ensuring team members are following business practices.
Implement and enforce departmental procedures (SOP), ensure cGMP compliance and Safety.
Supports and assists the chemical warehouse supervisor, in their absence, assumes the responsibility of Supervisor.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Responsible for the first and second shift start-up/shift-end process; warehouse safety walks.
Provides direct leadership to pre-weighers and material handlers with respect to daily pre-weigh schedules, material requirements, procedures, volume, quality, and deadlines to satisfy Compounding schedules.
Ensure that all batches on schedule have been kitted and transferred on time and consistent with quality requirements.
Ensure that Pre-weigh personnel are checking materials are within specification, free of contamination, and within shelf life.
Ensure complete batch cards are successfully filled out and all necessary information is provided.
Responsible for reporting on the EHS3 system and ERP system (Epicor).
Regularly check on machinery efficiencies.
Responsible for shift attendance; report on absent employees daily and receive overtime approval.
Collaborate with multiple teams to troubleshoot, identify, and solve raw material discrepancies.
Report any issues to the supervisor which may adversely affect employee/employer relations.
Reassign shift employees to Production, as necessary, when volume is low.
Awareness of building security from startup, during the shift and end of shift.
Coordinates batch adjustment requests from Compounding Dept.
Responsible for stocking, replenishing, and supplying the janitorial, production, and warehouse supplies for all facilities.
Assist third party services regarding calibrations, services, or repairs.
General understanding and operation of Power Industrial Trucks
Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school or GED preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
2-3 years hands-on manufacturing experience acting as a shift Leader.
Basic math skills including but not limited to addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentages required.
Must have proven ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Strong computer skills.
Possess a good working knowledge of all facets of manufacturing operations and personal care products.
Must have the flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends.
Demonstrated ability to follow through on project assignments.
Good Team building skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Excellent attendance record.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
