Job Description
Managers work within our collaborative teams to analyze complex construction scheduling and project cost issues, often related to business disputes including litigation. Managers' daily responsibilities include:
Maintain and foster client relationships through superior client service.
Detailed analysis of data and documentation, such as: construction drawings, schedules, submittals and shop drawings, daily reports, weather data, cost reports, and more, to determine trends and key findings.
Preparation of forensic schedule analysis utilizing various methods, such as As-Planned vs. As-Built and Windows Analyses.
Labor productivity evaluations.
Calculation of delay damages, calculation of lost profit / income, and assessment of consequential damages.
Review and verify construction costs and cost reasonableness.
Develop, update, and maintain project schedules in Primavera P6.
Perform reviews of baseline and periodic schedule updates for quality, compliance with specifications and overall reasonableness.
Prepare and /or assist with the preparation of expert reports, expert testimony and exhibits for trial or settlement negotiations, and provide client support during litigation, arbitration or mediation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical, construction-related field (i.e.: architecture, construction management, engineering).
4+ years of experience working in construction management, construction claims, or project controls.
Prior experience as consultant working on damages and investigative work in support of contractual disputes, dealy claims, and litigation.
Proficient in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Ability to work in a consultant setting and track time and monitor activities against a budget.
Must be able to perform complex tasks and handle multiple priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical report writing.
Proficient with standard software packages (word processing, spreadsheets, Adobe).
Proficient with scheduling software, such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

The hiring range for this position is estimated at 120,000 to 155,000.
