Job Title: Regional Account Manager - Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Navy


Location: ADS Headquarters (Virginia Beach, VA)


ADS, Inc. is seeking a Regional Account Manager to work with Navy FMS Program Offices. RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Represent ADS with program offices, logistics consolidation points and respective contracting offices across all territories assigned

  • Research and develop business within assigned program office and related accounts

    • Research and and identify opportunities for business development upstream from current active accounts

    • Identify program needs and objectives

    • Identify initial purchases and priorities, manufacturers, product categories and technologies

    • Identify preferred and/or optimal means of procurement

    • Understand FMS and office specific processes and mirror them wherever possible

    • Understand and articulate how contracts are formatted to FMS processes

    • Structure complete solution based on specifics of different FMS case types

    • Understand FMS post-order due diligence and be able to articulate it to all levels of customer hierarchy

    • Serve as the lead for all large-scale solicitations

    • Engage and establish long term sales and service solutions





  • Market/Industry analysis

    • Analyze market trends, new requirements, new program inceptions

    • Keep up to date on world events

    • Gather intelligence

    • Create new solutions in response to market changes





  • Represent preferred vendor products as applicable

  • Work with internal ADS support staff

    • Communicate with support staff to make sure customer deadlines are met, agreements are in place, strategic alliances are established, etc.

    • Facilitate direct communication with customer when needed

    • Work with assigned vertical sales reps based on program territory and/or scope of program objective as required.

    • Work with compliance to ensure proper reporting procedures are followed

    • Work with logistics team to ensure flawless post-order due diligence





  • Help structure and grow program development business unit

    • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement

    • Generate reports and respond to requests for information on time




REQUIREMENTS



  • 2-4 years prior military or government contracting experience, specifically in Foreign Military programs

  • 2 years of experience with government programs, either in sales or development

  • 2 years experience in government contracts & procedures

  • Foreign Military Sales experience highly desired

  • 2 years of experience with MS Office

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; High school diploma or equivalent

  • Frequent travel required
