Job Description:

Work type: CE - Clinician Educator

Location: Stanford University

Categories: School of Medicine

The Division of Comprehensive Neurology in the Department of Neurology at Stanford University seeks a board-eligible or board-certified Comprehensive (General) Neurologist to join the Department as Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor in the Clinician Educator Line.

The major criterion for appointment in the Clinical Educator Line is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Academic rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The successful applicant should have an MD or equivalent degree, ABPN certification or eligibility, and eligibility for a California medical license.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have fellowship training in a Neurology subspecialty, such as Movement Disorders, Neurobehavioral/Dementia or Comprehensive/General Neurology. Other subspecialty interest will be considered, though the candidate's role will focus on comprehensive outpatient care of patients across the entire spectrum of neurologic disorders. While the primary focus will be on the clinical duties at the Emeryville clinic, opportunities for involvement at our other clinic locations, including Palo Alto and Pleasanton can be explored based on the candidate's interest and clinical needs at these sites.

Responsibilities are expected to include care of general and subspecialty neurology patients, and teaching of medical students, residents and clinical fellows. Opportunities are available to participate in research, quality improvement, and development of innovative care programs.

Applications will be reviewed beginning October 2023 and accepted until position is filled.
