Advanced Systems Engineer




Pittsfield, MA




Contract Position




Advanced Systems Engineer job in Pittsfield, Massachusetts is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Defense company. To qualify for this job you will be a U.S. Citizen with active DoD Secret security clearance. In this job you will support the next generation in developing mission critical systems for our national defense. You will be a part of creating the most effective and state of the art technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and other Federal Government agencies working with our military.



Responsibilities:

• Develop and configure computer systems, including operating systems, hypervisors, and network switches.


• Operate within an Agile development life cycle to achieve project goals.


• Support the systems development life cycle from requirements gathering to implementation.

Qualifications:

• 
  Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a STEM field with 5+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.


• 
  Clearance: U.S. Citizen with active DoD Secret security clearance.


• Proven experience leading the systems development life cycle with proficiency in requirements management and system modeling tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience configuring Cisco Switches.


• Knowledge of DoD Host-Based Security System (HBSS) implementation, including Microsoft PowerSTIG, McAfee for Red Hat, and Windows Defender.


• Proficiency with VMWare vSphere, Red Hat, Windows Server 2022, and VMWare ESXi.


• Experience with configuration management, GitLab Pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
