Position Overview:
A Tradesperson 3 - Lead support completes tasks associated with the manufacturing and handling of cable and equipment based on training and procedures as well as, supporting the Lead as necessary with assignments for T-3 and Temporary Employee's.
Responsibilities and Duties:
*Perform attendance check at start of shift and report absences to Lead
*Work with Lead to coordinate and communicate T-3 and Temporary Employee assignments. Will communicate assignment changes throughout the day according to direction from the Lead
*Perform regular 5S audit checklist and walk throughs
*Ensure work areas are neat and organized
*Responsible to ensure T-3 and Temporary Employees maintain a clean work area and return tools after use
*Perform all departmental safety inspections. Monitor and report up any safety infractions
*Physically handles cable and inserts it into large holding pans
*Performs first level visual inspection, identifying errors and reports issues to appropriate personnel
*Follows verbal and written instruction and is accountable for his/her actions
*Follows safety guidelines (PPE, etc.) and always demonstrates safe work practices
Adheres to the safety and quality standards (goals and metrics) of the organization while working within a team environment
Promotes job and process improvement as it relates to the department (through 5S as well as other improvement initiatives)
Successfully learns a variety of production processes and performs them safely and proficiently
Safely operate various powered industrial equipment such as hand tools and pallet jacks
Responds to multiple production assignments in a timely and efficient manner
Overtime may be required, based on business need; regular attendance required
Train new hire T-3's as required in production related tasks to maintain safety and quality goals
Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency preferred
One or more years of related experience and/or training preferred
Ability to read and interpret hand held measuring equipment such as a metal rule and a go/no go gauge
Possess the ability to react to changes of responsibility throughout the day
Must have the flexibility to respond to multiple assignments
Ability to work any shift, including nights and weekends
