Ensures current systems comply with government regulations and Federal Contractor requirements.
Manages host environment to ensure proper tuning and sufficient capacity.
Manages broad area virtual private networks, fixing network and connectivity issues, and ensuring sufficient network redundancy to off-site locations.
Configures servers and ensures optimization of network, servers, applications and databases.
Assesses software and hardware for update requirements and implements when necessary.
Conducts root cause analysis of any network issues.
Oversees IT ticket system and ensures tickets are handled efficiently and timely.
Supervises Helpdesk team and ensures team is trained on how to deal with service-related issues.
Identifies and implements the most effective cloud-based solutions.
Creates roadmaps to meet goals for prototypes and infrastructure requirements.
Ensures maintenance tasks on network infrastructure are performed.
Assesses and improves software deployment process.
Executes project implementation plans.
Creates and executes strategies for network repairs when needed.
Creates and tests recovery strategies.
Conducts quality assurance processes to ensure the use of best practices and implements standardization.
Interacts with members of other technical teams.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science or related area of study.
At least 8 years of related experience (specific requirements listed below). Must have at least 3 years of supervision experience.
