Job Description:

Paint Operators set up and operate manual and auto paint equipment used for painting sheet metal parts on a moving conveyor line. Operators are responsible for loading/unloading, masking/unmasking parts and deburring on the paint chain.


  • Read and understand moderately complex assembly drawings, schematics, bill of materials.

  • Good understanding of basic shop math and measuring techniques.

  • Load and unload parts to the paint chain.

  • Mask and unmask parts according to the process sheets.

  • Utilizes a wide variety of paint hooks, racks, and measuring equipment.

  • Inspect parts for defects.

  • Load parts on pallets for put-away and/or shipping.

  • Applying a wide range of powder coatings sheet metal per manufacturers specification.

  • Ensure all work produced in the paint booth meets customers quality expectations.

  • Ensure correct line density is maintained to meet customer demands.

  • Establishes and maintains a safe, clean and healthy working environment in accordance with OSHA requirements.

  • Maintains all certifications for group(s) and completes all required training.

  • Daily 5S is a requirement.

  • Performs other duties as requested. Will be responsible to train associates as needed.
