Job Description
Perform/review preparations of reagents, samples, and standards according to procedures
Perform/review routine, non-routine and complex analyses; instrumental analyses; including calibration and troubleshooting/repair of instruments independently
Read and understand analytical procedures (compendial and client supplied) and internal SOP's
Support onboarding of new instrumentation including performing/reviewing IQ/OQ/PQ data or qualifications
Demonstrate technical writing skills and complete investigations independently
Process/review data, generate/review reports, and evaluate data
Suggest and implement lab improvements or modify existing processes to maximize quality and productivity; support and drive LEAN initiatives
Identify or support speaking or publishing opportunities and assist with driving to publication or presentation (either internally or externally)
Assist in diagnosing problems; solve simple problems, and suggest solutions to complex problems in professional area
Qualifications
Use of proper handling procedures and aseptic technique.
Ability to perform microbiological procedures such as, sample dilutions and enrichments, sample plating for quantification, sample transfers, and environmental monitoring of process areas
May perform acceptance testing of prepared microbiological culture media.
Maintains laboratory supplies, media, and reagents inventory
Uses Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for sample and sample test result tracking
Participates in overtime, weekend, and holiday on-call scheduling as required.
Familiarity with USP < 61,62,85,51, 71> water testing, LAL, bioburden, sterility isolator
