The IT Support Specialist is responsible for installing, maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer hardware, and computer peripherals in a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.” Sets up and configures new systems and provides advice to end users on hardware and systems software issues. Provides computer systems support and services for a variety of operating systems and proprietary and standard software. Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups.
Pay Rate: $21.00 - $30.63 per hour Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience.
Essential Functions:

Maintains weekly log of activity
Creates and maintains documentation for new software installations and other assigned duties
Completes MS Outlook based Help Desk tickets and new computer configuration tickets
Adheres to physical and information security established procedures
Responds to telephone help desk support requests of customers professionally and in a timely manner
Demonstrates and trains customers in basic functionality and logon procedures of newly configured computers
Installs and supports Windows 10 computer environments and supports Windows 7 computer environments
Supports a wide range of proprietary software through hardware/software installations and upgrades and general networking and desktop support
Provides support to company users on general computing issues including hardware and software troubleshooting, software usage
Performs preventative maintenance on workstations to ensure systems are performing at an optimum level; will assist in some server maintenance, support and backup functions
Provides support on general computing issues; a rotating member of the company Help Desk
Provides AS 400 technical support
Other duties as assigned by manager
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
College Degree Preferred
1-3 years customer service experience
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
A+ Certified

Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing but may require occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
