Description: We are working with a growing food manufacturer seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to lead their manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in manufacturing operations, a strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, and a passion for driving operational excellence. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills to oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, safety, and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans to achieve plant goals and objectives.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased productivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align plant operations with overall business objectives.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring efficient production processes and meeting production targets.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, to optimize plant efficiency.
Quality Assurance:
Enforce strict quality control standards to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
Implement robust quality assurance programs and procedures.
Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to identify and address potential issues.
Safety and Compliance:
Prioritize safety and maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental regulations.
Conduct regular safety training and promote a strong safety culture.
Team Leadership:
Lead and develop a high-performing team of supervisors, engineers, and production workers.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
Financial Management:
Manage plant budgets and control costs to optimize profitability.
Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective cost-reduction strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in manufacturing or production management.
Proven track record in leading and managing large-scale manufacturing operations.
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in manufacturing software and ERP systems.
