Description: Our client is currently seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer at a few of their locations in Minneapolis, MN.
Can be either a Contract or Temp to Hire an employee
Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM
Duties:
Utilize broad-based skills in patient care, ancillary services, and business office practices, provides assistance to providers in accordance with PNHS standards and policies
Represent the client's Orthopedic Center, specifically their Sports Medicine Program, and the women's sports medicine program while attending Sports Medicine conferences, schools, and events as directed by the sports medicine program coordinator
Coordinate medical coverage for games and events where the client is designated as the medical provider
Assist the SMPC with coordination of all activities related to sports medicine marketing, networking, and event coverage
Act as a liaison between coaches and athletic trainers, and the client for injured players so the athlete is seen by the appropriate medical staff
Assess the injury and coordinate care making independent decisions on care based upon protocols and interactions with their supervising physician
Develop new relationships and create business partnerships for the client
Work with and help at annual conferences and assist the provider with standard rooming, clinical procedures, casting, triage, and other patient interactions that are within the scope of practice of the athletic trainer
1 year of Athletic Training experience required; 3+ years of applicable experience preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses:
Current BOC certified Athletic Trainer required
Current License with the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice for Athletic Trainers required
NATA member in good standing
Strong clinical and human relations skills are required
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, and maintains standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the NATA and BOC
Basic computer/keyboarding/mouse skills required
Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure the safety of patients
Can make autonomous decisions in regards to patient care-related issues and be able to make independent decisions based on the scope of practice and protocols established with their physician
Excellent interpersonal, listening, critical thinking, and organizational skills
Team player that collaborates to achieve the highest outcomes
Must provide proof of COVID vaccination
