Job Summary:


  • Develop and implement a long-term vision for medical review operations aligned with organizational goals.


  • Conduct market analysis and competitor assessments to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.


  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the medical review team.


  • Optimize operational efficiency and productivity through process improvement initiatives.


  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track performance.


  • Oversee budget development and management for the medical review department.


  • Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.


  • Conduct regular quality audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement.


  • Collaborate with clinical experts to develop and maintain evidence-based clinical policies and procedures.


  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the medical review team.


  • Provide mentorship and coaching to medical directors and staff.


  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients.


  • Understand client needs and develop customized solutions to meet their expectations.


  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on medical review matters.


Minimum Qualifications:




  • MD or DO degree with board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.


  • Current and unrestricted medical license as required for clinical practice in a state of the United States.


  • Seven or more years of leadership experience in a medical review or utilization management role.


  • Minimum of five years of clinical practice experience.

  • Proven track record in driving operational efficiency and improving quality.


  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
