SUMMARY
The Logistician provides support to a government agency for a Network and Infrastructure modernization contract in Colorado Springs, CO. Integrates the spectrum of the logistics processes within the operational, acquisition and wholesale environments. Responsible for directing the integrated logistics process, developing support policies, procedures and systems, and providing implementation guidance. Prepares and implements directives to ensure effective logistics support and establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned work force is properly trained and equipped. It is the Logistician's duty to develop, initiate, integrate and manage all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of network systems, subsystems and equipment. Technical requirements are applicable across multiple United States Space Command (USSC) and USSC Component Command Locations in the Colorado Springs area.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must possess and maintain a current TS clearance; SCI eligibility is highly preferred. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must have DOD logistics and contracting experience.
Must have a valid Driver's License.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains and develops positive business relationships with key personnel involved in, or directly relevant to, logistics activity.
Develops an understanding of customers' needs and ensures that needs are met.
Develops Plans for logistics management of materials and labor for project execution.
Develops an Item Unique Identification Plan and implements specific IUID markings, in accordance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 252.211-7003, DFARS 252.245-7001, SECNAVINST 4440.34, MIL-STD-130N.
Manages the procurement of equipment with various approved vendors.
Manages the receipt of equipment via established tracking systems.
Analyzes logistics performance and compares against targets, benchmarks and service agreements.
Manages availability and allocation of materials, supplies and finished products.
Manages the movement of goods to maximize value and minimize costs.
Develops tracking system(s) for materials and property management.
Collaborates with other departments to meet customer requirements in the case of shortages, to minimize negative impacts on business.
Reports project plans, progress and results.
Develops and implements technical project management tools, such as plans, schedules and responsibility and compliance matrices.
Assists in the disposal of systems.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of seven (7) years' relevant experience in integrated logistics support, or equivalent combination of education/experience. Preferred experience in Information Technology support and Procurement.
