The Senior Requirements Business Analyst will provide business analysis expertise, experience and skills to the Information Technology and Business organizations at RTD. They will provide business analysis planning, requirements elicitation, BRD and SOW technical writing creation for project submittal, requirements lifecycle management, strategic and needs analysis on assigned projects and initiatives. In partnership with the Manager, Program Management Office, the Senior Business Analyst will assist in defining and improving the business analysis practice.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential:


  • Elicit and collaborate on requirements by preparing for elicitation, conducting elicitation, confirming results, communicating results, and managing stakeholder engagement.

  • Technical documentation of requirement elicitation by writing Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Statement of Work (SOW).

  • Manage the requirements life cycle by creating a requirements traceability matrix, maintain and update requirements, work with the customer to prioritize requirements, assess requirement changes and gain requirement approvals.

  • Perform strategy analysis by working with the business users to analyze current state, define future state, and help define the change strategy.

  • Take a structured approach to performing the business analysis function, utilizing the PMI-PBA Framework and IIBA BABOK Framework.

  • Work on multiple medium to large projects.

  • Provide leadership in process improvement using industry leading best practices. Help shape the vision of longer-term business requirements.

  • Maintain excellent understanding of business complexities and project interdependencies.

  • Act as a mentor and role model for PMO BA team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Communications or equivalent preferred.

  • A minimum of eight years of experience eliciting and documenting requirements for business projects with an information technology component (software and hardware) for procurement.

  • Eight years of technical writing experience writing Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Statement of Work (SOW).

  • Experience working on multiple medium to large scale projects simultaneously

  • IIBA CBAP certification preferred.

  • Excellent and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Understanding of the SDLC and various software development methodologies (i.e. Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint.

  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details.

Pay Range:

$92,003.00 - $129,954.50 Annual
