Position Summary

The BSA CTR Specialist is responsible for all of the enterprise-wide Currency Transaction Reporting and adhering to the Bank’s BSA/AML/USA Patriot Act and OFAC Program and Procedures.  

What You'll Do


  • Review daily Currency Transaction Reports to ensure necessary information has been recorded for cash transactions according to the Bank’s BSA/AML Policies and Procedures.


  • Determine CTR filings through proper documentation and resolution


  • Prepare CTRs for submission for all Wintrust Charters


  • Ensure the required information for the currency transactions exceeding $10,000 is submitted to the Internal Revenue Service within required timeframe


  • Assist charter locations with issues related to BSA/AML software and/or Currency Transaction Reporting


  • Perform quality control for various related functions


  • Assist with other BSA duties


Qualifications and Experience


  • 2 - 3 years banking experience


  • Working knowledge of various laws, regulations, and guidance as it relates to BSA, AML and OFAC


  • Strong communication, problem solving and time management skills. 


  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment


  • General Computer Skills


  • Bachelor's degree preferred
