Job Description:

As a Hiring and Training Lead you'll raise the bar for Best Buy's inclusive culture as you manage the selection, onboarding, and retention processes for multiple micro markets. You'll partner with store leadership to create applicant and employee experiences that ensure we are supporting all candidates whether they are accepted or turned down. You will oversee the full onboarding process, which includes facilitating portions of new employee trainings as well as ensuring accurate paperwork and individual employee learnings are completed. You'll support every new employee in becoming completely confident as they serve our customers and achieve Blue Shirt status.

You'll create a diverse applicant pool through in-store job fairs, interview days, and visits to nearby retailers, schools, and events.Chatting with, pre-screening, and interviewing applicants regularly to connect them to current openings and prepare them for future opportunitiesMaintaining a strong partnership with your Retail Talent Acquisition team.Managing the applicant tracking system and ensuring the hiring process follows and complies with posting policies as well as state and federal hiring practices guidelines, following up on background check results when needed.Scheduling, coordinating, and co-facilitating new employee training schedules including systems trainings, administering required paperwork like I-9s,Completing weekly and monthly staffing reports as required by the leadership team. Basic Qualifications6 months of experience demonstrating sound judgment and decision making6 months of experience in training, sales, or customer service6 months of administrative-related experience
