This program will give you the full picture of what a career as Sales Representative at Nucor Steelcould look like. You will learn alongside Sales and operationsteammates as well asleaders to learn the fundamentals of Sales Team, safety, daily operations, supply chain and logistics. You will shadow experienced commercial teammates and learn how they develop, grow, and maintain relationships with customers to create business opportunities. This program is very hands-on. You will be able to participate in staff meetings, get involved with strategic planning, and work on a summer-long project with a final presentation.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Actively working towards a Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales or related field.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned region.
Ability, willingness, and desire to work in a hands-on, industrial environment.
Ability and willingness to work outside in an industrial environment.
Ability to build relationships, collaborate and work efficiently with team members.
Ability to communicate verbally and/or through written communication with team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
Rising Junior or Senior in Business, Operations, Management, Supply Chain,Sales, or related field
Previous internship experience
Previous leadership experience
Strong safety focus
Willingness and ability to relocate post-graduation
Basic understanding and experience using Microsoft Applications
