Position: Process Assistant I (crusher areas)
Reports to: Process Supervisor
Shift: TBD
Pay: $20/hour+

Summary
Under the direction of the Process Supervisor, the Process Assistant assists his/her team in cement manufacturing in work areas by completing assigned inspections, housekeeping and checking oil levels. The position must work a rotating shift.
What you'll be contributing:
Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
Maintain all equipment in the crusher area
Monitor operation of plant to detect problems and react to minimize any issues
Monitor oil and grease usage by each piece of equipment in the Finish Mill area.
Assist in clean up, inspecting, and lubricating all quarry equipment
Learns plant operations and assists in training team members.
Maintains a safe, clean work environment in keeping with the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) and company rules and policies.
Shovels and sweeps up spills as they occur to maintain plant housekeeping.
Operates skid steer loaders, guzzlers, and other equipment.
Operates jackhammer to remove product build-up.
Assists during plant shutdowns
Performs pre-shift area and equipment inspections daily for safety, maintenance, and housekeeping, correcting problems using best judgment.
Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
To succeed in this position, you will need:
High school graduation or equivalent is required
Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
Willingness to learn, training will be provided
Must be a self-starter able to work with little or no supervision
Ability to perform all duties in a safe manner
Maintain a positive work attitude
Ability to perform minor maintenance
Must have good attendance
Ability to reason through operational issues as they arise and resolve them or communicate with others
Knowledge of equipment used in the manufacturing of cement preferred
Knowledge of hazards associated with areas of responsibilities
Excellent work and safety record
Understanding of Lockout/Tagout procedures
What to expect in a cement environment:
Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Lifing up to 50 pounds. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
