Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the full cycle of accounts payable processes, from invoice processing to reconciliation and vendor management. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong foundation in accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Process full cycle accounts payable, including verifying, coding, and entering invoices accurately and promptly.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies efficiently.
Prepare weekly check runs and manage electronic payments.
Maintain vendor relationships, responding to inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements in all AP procedures.
Assist in month-end closing by preparing accounts payable accruals and reconciliations.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any invoice discrepancies.
Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of experience processing full cycle accounts payable, preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Other: Knowledge of legal billing and expense management systems is a plus.
