Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a board certified/board eligible Gastroenterology physician to join our GI practice for Austell and Douglasville locations. This is an office location which will have 3 physicians and 2 advanced practitioners. Wellstar Medical Group is a multi specialty group with 600 Physicians and the Gastroenterologists joining the group with have a very strong referral base. Components of the practice will include call, inpatient rounding, procedures as well as an outpatient clinic.



Responsibilities

Core and Essential Functions




  • Clinical Practice of Gastroenterology including
    * The care of patients in Outpatient or Inpatient settings or both.
    * The documentation of clinical care
    * The documentation and tasks necessary for billing and other administrative functions
    * Continuing Medical Education required to maintain licensure and Board Certification


  • Required for All Jobs





  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Complies with all WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.






  • Qualifications

    Required Minimum Education





  • A MD, DO Degree Required and

  • Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia Required and

  • Applicants must have completed the necessary Residency training requisite for their given specialty and be Certified or qualified for Certification by their respective specialty Board. Required


  • Required Minimum Experience





  • Previous practice experience in a Residency Training Program Required and

  • Prior practice experience, in lieu of Residency Training Preferred


  • Required Minimum Skills





  • It is expected that applicants will possess skills commensurate with their given specialty.

  • Applicants will be expected to show proof of competency for clinical skills applied for.


  • Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s)
