Job Description:




Budget Title: Assistant to Director (MP-5, Management/Confidential)*




Salary: $52,626 - $60,000




The Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is seeking a Recruitment Coordinator to support the University's recruitment processes and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) responsibilities. This includes assisting with the research and recommendation for creative strategies to foster the institution's equity, diversity and inclusion goals and coordinates the translation of those strategies into tactical plans with clear actions, accountability, measurements, and implementation of successful practices to support the University's recruitment, hiring and retention practices. The position is an on-site/in-person full time position that will report to the Associate Director for Recruitment.




Responsibilities include:





  • Assist in the management of searches including reviewing search documentation, processing, and filing recruitment forms and provide additional support around the university recruitment process in DEI for both the state payroll and, where appropriate, the Research Foundation.

  • Communicate with search committees and Human Resources regarding the progress of search forms and DEI senior staff in the execution of search orientation workshops, announcements and updating processes as it relates to the university recruitment processes. This includes the following:

    • Assist the Recruitment Team in managing search committee materials for all professional and faculty searches in Interview Exchange.

    • Develop relationships with national, local, and specialized diverse organizations and professional development organizations, as is relevant to the fulfillment of the organizations' initiatives and goals.

    • Coordinating/scheduling workshops for search committees and announcements to the campus regarding availability of workshops.

    • Support the Recruitment Team to develop and implement innovative strategies to attract prospective Faculty and Staff.

    • Generate reports based on collected data to support annual reporting and decision-making processes, specifically as it relates to posting outlets for search committees, track number of failed searches.

    • Assist with planning and executing recruitment events, including information sessions, campus tours, and virtual presentations.

    • Utilize various recruitment platforms and tools to identify and connect with potential applicants, including social media, email campaigns, and online forums.

    • Provide administrative support, including preparing materials for events, and assisting with other tasks as assigned.

    • Will participate in related university policy formulation and confidential personnel matters.



  • Research to identify, build and support affinity/employee resource groups by partnering with campus partners (and where appropriate external partners), to develop strategies to support their work.

  • Assist with the coordination of social mixers and support of affinity groups.






Requirements:





  • Bachelor's degree with progressively demonstrated experience in human resource management or diverse talent recruiting

  • Demonstrated knowledge of EEO, Affirmative Action

  • Skill in using Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, including typing and data entry

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Knowledge of higher education policies and procedures related to recruitment and admissions

  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of recruitment and student engagement activities

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to manage and build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures; take direction, critical feedback and work well with others




Preferred:





  • Master's Degree

  • Demonstrated knowledge of compliance and diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices

  • Demonstrated experience in being a self-starter, exercising good judgment, with ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrated ability to meet reasonable expectations; and can respond to change productively while handling tasks as assigned

  • Skill in project management, organization, and analytics

  • Experience in recruitment and program management

  • Proficiency in Google Suite and familiarity with recruitment software and platforms is desirable
