The Ithaca College School of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-eligible Assistant Professor of Sport Management position to work at our Ithaca, NY campus beginning in Fall 2025. Duties include teaching assigned classes in sport management (five courses per year); conducting impactful research; participating in service to the institution and the profession; and advising students.

The Department of Sport Management plays a vital role in this mission. Our commitment to teaching excellence, experiential learning, and mentoring students to career success distinguish Ithaca's program. The successful candidate will teach assigned undergraduate courses and electives related to their expertise. While a broad range of subspecialties may be considered, of particular interest are candidates with a background/expertise in sport marketing, sport sales, and sport sponsorship, with additional interests in more general sport management areas.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. (or appropriate terminal degree) in Sport Management, or a closely related field is required. ABD candidates with teaching experience and scholarly productivity may also be considered. Candidates should demonstrate evidence of a developing research program and a plan for continuing that program into the future. This will include sufficient research activity to establish or maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic (SA) qualification. Candidate experience working in the sport industry is desirable. We prefer candidates who have a record of successful college teaching, including a commitment to inclusive and accessible pedagogies.

Hiring Range:
$90,000 - $100,000, dependent on discipline, qualifications and experience.
