Technical Writer

Norfolk, Virginia, or Kittery, Maine

Active Secret Clearance is Required

@Orchard LLC has contract opportunities as a subcontractor supporting Naval Sea Systems Command, Shipyards, and Industrial Base agencies associated with workforce and workload management, logistic services, business operations, and total force initiatives. The current task focus is process and performance improvement and project management. The work is located at the Navy Shipyards in Norfolk, VA, or Kittery, ME, primarily working onsite, with some flexibility for limited telework as the project permits.

@Orchard is looking for a strong Technical Writer with prior experience supporting Federal programs, preferably including Navy programs.

As the Technical Writer you will

Be responsible for delivering content requested by the government client or the Program Manager to help facilitate effective communication of projects or tasks, including policies, procedures, SOPs, and presentations.

Your background will include

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Active Secret clearance
• Demonstrated experience (at least 3 years) delivering complex technical writing deliverables for Navy projects and programs.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and mastery of Microsoft products for presentations and documents.
