Overview:

The Construction Management Intern will assist the Construction Management teams in their day-to-day responsibilities related to ongoing and proposed construction projects and the operation and maintenance of the company’s regional shopping centers. The intern will have the opportunity to visit several properties and active construction projects.

The Intern will have exposure to a broad range of construction management tasks related to the operation of a real estate portfolio.

Position details:

• Shopping Center lease and contract research
• Data management: obtaining and organizing tenant information, construction plans, and construction administration information
• Conduct site visits to properties
• Collect and organize facilities data on the properties from regional Brixmor Construction Managers
• Update property information guides with specific town/utility contacts
• Attend regular Construction Management meetings and assist with notes and documentation of progress and conditions
• Work independently and within a team on special, nonrecurring, and ongoing projects
• Performing administrative functions including scanning, copying, and filing

Qualifications:

• Ideal candidate will have interest in Real Estate and is pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering and/or Real Estate
• Ability to establish rapport with co workers
• Solid time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks and requests
• Detail oriented with strong analytical capabilities
• Self-starter: able to take initiative and make decisions with minimal direction in a high-pressure environment
• Basic data-entry and filing skills
• Ability to present self and Brixmor in a professional manner in all customer communications and actions
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and E-mail
