Job Description:

H2M architects and engineers seeks a Plumbing/Fire Protection Staff Engineer to join our established MEP Discipline in our Windsor, CT office. Key responsibilities include assisting with designs, calculations, reports, etc. for all types of buildings.

Job Responsibilities


  • Assist in project design and development tasks, including drawings, calculations, cost estimates and specifications for various large and small scale plumbing and/or fire protection projects.
  • Assist in the coordination of projects with other engineering and architecture departments within the firm.
  • In coordination with project level engineers, create plumbing contract drawings and specifications for public bid.
  • Construction administration responsibilities which include the review of contract submittals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Min 1-3 years relevant design experience in a consulting firm, specifically focused on plumbing/fire protection systems.
  • Familiarity with all applicable plumbing state and local codes and standards.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • HVAC and/or Fire Sprinkler design experience desirable.
  • Knowledge of Revit a plus.
  • Familiarity with various local government agencies.
  • EIT desired

The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000 annually.
