DESCRIPTION
The Asheville-based planning group is seeking a talented environmental field support technician to assist with stream and wetland mitigation project monitoring. The technician will also assist in field work involving vegetation management including the implementation of forest management plans and management of invasive plant species on private and public lands. The technician will also aid in benthic macroinvertebrate field sampling and laboratory sub-sampling and sorting. This role will be hands on with a focus on detailed data collection and analysis. Experience using Excel spreadsheets and strong communication skills are strongly preferred.
As we continue to grow our practice in the areas of forest management and benthic macroinvertebrate population surveys, the ideal candidate would have a relevant combination of skills in data analysis, pesticide application, operating ATV's and other off-road vehicles, and record keeping and report writing. Engaging with clients and community members across these project types will be at the core of this exciting opportunity.
