Set up subcontractor pay application cover sheets based on the schedule of values found in the subcontract and change orders.
Review subcontractors pay applications for accuracy. Confirm all information is entered in the pay application correctly and that add information sums correctly.
Prepare cover sheets for subcontractor pay applications and start approvals process in approval system.
Track progress of schedule of values and update cost manager and controls manager of contract items that need to be updated.
Prepare subcontractor accruals monthly and assist in coding accounting accruals.
Assist in collection of construction quantities for monthly job cost reports and enter information into cost management program.
Understand month end process and tasks and be able to prepare month end reports, when needed.
Work with project engineers and managers to forecast remaining work quantities, crew sizes, and unit rates and prepare summaries to be used in forecasting efforts.
Review cost details to assist in evaluation of monthly based costs and prepare forecasts based on cost detail and schedule.
Use cost management software to update forecast information.
Assist in tracking cost information related to extra work and back charges and compile into cost packages.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management
5-7 years' experience in heavy civil construction.
