PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Receives and checks incoming supplies against packing slips and purchase orders for proper shipment, shortages, damage in transit, etc. Notifies Supervisor of shortages or incorrect materials received.
Place material in proper bins, racks, etc. or communicates receipt of material to appropriate individuals.
Distributes materials and supplies. Schedule Principal Supply receipts as directed by the Material Manager. Input timely data entry of material receipts, withdrawals, and the inventory activity.
Controls stock room inventory by performing periodic cycle counts.
Operates mechanical equipment as required for unloading, loading, moving or storing materials.
Prepares and maintains various computerized financial, purchasing, inventory and storeroom reports, records, etc. as required.
Expedite deliveries of materials and equipment by contacting vendor.
Regular and predictable on-site attendance and the ability to work overtime based on business needs is essential.
Performs other miscellaneous responsibilities as required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Must have high school education or equivalent. Three to twelve months of warehouse experience is desired. Specialized courses in inventory control/materials management or equivalent are preferred.
Must have knowledge of arithmetic, accuracy in checking, posting, counting, and be able to use office equipment and mobile equipment required.
Must display proficiency in computer applications (spreadsheets and word processing).
