Summary:



The customer service representative is responsible for growing sales by providing exceptional service to external customers through in-depth knowledge of company products and services. The CSR is equally responsible to provide exceptional customer service to internal customers by accurate processing customer transactions to include (but not limited to) sales orders, warranties and returns as well as utilizing the ERP system /Glovia to accurately schedule orders and generate system reports to assist customers and other members of our staff.



Job Description:





  • Build customer relationships through exemplary customer service/relationship management

  • Engage the support of Account Managers and/or Application Engineers to assist with customer issues and inquiries, as necessary

  • Receive and process orders received by telephone, fax and e-mail

  • Respond to requests for prices and quotations

  • Responsible for accurate order entry and utilizing the ERP (Glovia) system to process orders

  • Follow purchase orders from cradle to grave. Can include: Sales order (SO) creation, date change management, production monitoring, customer communications, and invoicing.

  • Interface with production and shipping groups as needed to comply with customer requirements

  • Customer service responsibilities including but not limited to order acknowledgement and customer communication

  • Issue Return Goods Authorizations (RGA's) permitting customers to return defective products

  • Provide backup for Logistics / Inside Sales Specialist with invoicing needs for customer orders

  • Support logistics coordination and paperwork for international shipments




Requirements:



  • High school diploma or GED [equivalent] required

  • Previous experience with an ERP system (e.g. SAP, INFOR SyteLine, Made-To-Manage, Glovia) and product inventory a plus

  • Acute attention to detail. Example - Receive and review complex purchase orders, gather critical customer information (including technical information), then convey accurate and complete information within the organization through sales order creation, email, or live discussion.

  • High level of organization

  • Ability and willingness to have difficult customer conversations, manage conflict, and de-escalate emotional situation

  • Excellent verbal communication, listening and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently to complete all requirements with limited daily direct oversight

  • Applicants must be able to effectively execute responsibilities in both on-site social settings and in more isolated (remote) settings

  • High level of data entry skills is required. Ability to enter all data necessary completely and efficiently for others in the organization to take a handoff without error

  • Computer literacy must include professional aptitude in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as the ability to learn to use new software
