The leader of the operations team is responsible for plant manufacturing including safety, quality, operating costs, staffing, direct and indirect efficiency, scheduling, and quality systems including TS16949 and ISO14001.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for the safety of all Team Members and the environment is maintained properly and the Team Members demonstrate proper behaviors
Responsible for ensuring all quality policies and procedures are followed by all Team Members including documentation of deviation of standard work flow
Responsible for ensuring that equipment is utilized to capacity and resolve any issues when not at capacity
Responsible for follow up action from Kaizen, Standard Lean Events, Slams that are performed on the production floor
Responsible for follow up action to eliminate sorts, give 100% launch's and power builds, etc.
Ensures training process is in place and followed 100%
Responsible for working with plant engineering and maintenance to make sure that equipment and machinery is maintained and functioning as intended
May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description
Education and Qualifications:
Four year degree in a related field, Business, Quality, Engineering, Etc., or equivalent experience
Minimum five to eight years of supervision or management experience
Excellent communication, ability to give clear verbal and written direction
Strong problem solving and analytical skills to interpret production information
Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary
Work Environment/Work Conditions:
Professional Office Environment
Must wear proper personal protection equipment while on manufacturing floor
Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when required
Equipment used requires proper training on the potential for and avoidance of injury
