Duties and responsibilities:
* Serving as the initial point of contact for IT support within the organization.
* Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems through repair or replacement.
* Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
* Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices.
* Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly.
* Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation.
* Assisting call-ins or live chat with technical difficulties.
* Assisting staff with hardware and software challenges.
* Maintaining computer systems and other technologies in a business setting.
* Perform tests on new hardware and software.
* Oversee security and privacy of computer systems.
* Keep records and logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.
* Detect computer shortages and submit for approval.
* Work and collaborate with other IT Technicians to install hardware and troubleshoot computer issues.
* Respond to IT questions from company employees and updating malware protection devices to prevent viruses or computer hacking.
* Detect? diagnose and troubleshoot to problems? related to hardware? software or organizational activities.
* Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or related field, preferred.
* 2-5 years IT experience or a similar role.
* Experience troubleshooting systems.
* Skilled in database programming and software installation.
* Proficient in MS Windows, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Familiar with a range of software and hardware.
* Willing to travel to other locations.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
Physical Demands:
* Bending, lifting up to 15 lbs, twisting, reaching, stretching, pushing, and pulling for up to 15%.
* Frequent standing, walking and climbing.
* Move, transport, position, install and or remove equipment of at least 50 lbs.
