Position Description
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Help estimate potential projects
Buyout projects
Oversee multiple construction projects from startup through closeout
Plan projects
Complete and manage submittal process
Develop and maintain good relationships with project owners and stakeholders
Oversee field work to ensure maximum productivity and cost effectiveness
Oversee work of subcontractors
Ensure work is completed safely
Ensure that work is completed in accordance with Contract Documents
Ensure work is completed to high levels of quality and with utmost integrity
Mange change order process and ensure that all extra work is paid for
Oversee all administrative aspects of project
Keep good quantities and records to ensure accurate job costs

Position Requirements
The requirements and qualifications for the position are:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Experience with New York State Department of Transportation Specifications
10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Projects
Experience with construction accounting, project management and estimating software (Trimble/Viewpoint Vista, Project Sight and B2W are preferred)
Strong commitment to integrity and quality
Strong business writing and communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong leadership skills

Possess valid driver's license
Be a UC citizen or legally authorized to work in the US
