Job Description SummaryThe Club Coach will execute practice plans and support student leadership. Club teams are student-led by Wake Forest University students and manage the team. Club Sports programming promotes student development, positive co-curricular experiences, and positive representation of the university. This position requires evening and weekend work.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

• 
  

  Use a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs and improve the abilities of student athletes in the sport assigned.

  
  


• 
  

  Manage and supervise sport activities, contests, and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.

  
  


• 
  

  Work with the members of the club to plan and put in place instructional goals and objectives to ensure the overall development of student athletes

  
  


• 
  

  Establish performance criteria for competition and evaluate students' athletic abilities initially and on a regular basis.

  
  


• 
  

  Take all necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.

  
  


• 
  

  Communication with constituents, parents/alumni, team doctor, Sport Programs department, and vendors to ensure team is well supported

  
  


• 
  

  Perform other duties as assigned by the Sport Programs Coordinator

  
  

Other Functions:

• 
  

  Complete club sport trainings or University trainings when required
