Department Summary
The Department of Multidisciplinary Innovation is a multidisciplinary department with a highly collaborative and collegial culture housed at the UNT at Frisco campus. We are a leader in project-based education, providing students unique opportunities to learn through collaboration with industry partners and other UNT academic units. DMI offers classes and serves students on both the Denton and Frisco campuses as well as online.
Position Overview
The Department of Multidisciplinary Innovation seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2024, Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.
DMI offers four undergraduate programs with project-based learning curricula that require creativity and collaboration among faculty as well as cross-course multidisciplinary integration. Links to each program are below. We emphasize teamwork and excellent communication about complex issues in our courses and often work with community and industry partners within class contexts.

· B.A.A.S. Applied Arts and Sciences (Frisco, Denton, and online)

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in a relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications
* Ph.D. or ABD in a relevant field
* Minimum of 1 year university-level teaching experience
* Experience teaching in multidisciplinary or cross-disciplinary courses
* Experience with project-based curricula.
* Experience teaching real-world problem solving.
* Experience with hybrid/online course instruction (for B.A.A.S.)
