The Department of Radiology at Stanford University School of Medicine is searching for a full-time radiologist to join our Division of Cardiovascular Imaging. This faculty search is open rank and the appointment would be in the Clinician Educator Line, University Medical Line, or University Tenure Line.


The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.


The applicant will have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree(s) or equivalent, must be board-certified or eligible in diagnostic radiology, and have completed a formal fellowship in cardiovascular imaging or equivalent training. Experience in clinical imaging is essential and commitment to teaching and education is valued. Clinical and/or research interest in cardiac MRI is desired. The successful candidate will contribute his/her substantial research and/or clinical expertise in cardiac and vascular MR and CT, to the academic profile of the division. In addition to cardiac MR, all areas of research in the cardiovascular sciences (e.g., cardiovascular biology, image processing and visualization, computer simulation and modeling of cardiac and vascular morphology and function, medical decision modeling) are all potential areas of research interest.


The Cardiovascular Imaging division provides in-patient, out-patient, and acute care advanced cardiac and vascular imaging services for Stanford Health Care to nationally renowned programs in Cardiothoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Cardiology/Cardiovascular Medicine, Interventional Radiology, as well as in adult and pediatric congenital heart diseases. Division members include nationally and internationally renown and widely published faculty. Close collaborations with related disciplines and basic sciences such as bioengineering and molecular imaging exist, with a world-renowned 3D-Laboratory for image post-processing.

Salary Range:


The expected base pay range for this position is:


Clinical Instructor: $375,000 - $381,000
Clinical Assistant Professor: $390,000 - $408,000
Clinical Associate Professor: $423,000 - $441,000
Clinical Professor: $461,000 - $479,000


This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine's faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
