Why Lytx:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced people leader with exceptional analytical, problem solving, collaboration, and organizational skills to lead Procurement for Lytx. This role is crucial in optimizing our supply chain, ensuring quality, and managing supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of hardware components, market trends, and procurement best practices to drive cost efficiencies and foster innovation.

This strategic people leader will drive continuous improvement in material sourcing, strategic commodity management, negotiations and pricing with contract manufacturers, and strategic supplier management.

The successful candidate will be joining a fast paced, high-growth company and must have a strong performance record of motivating a team to achieve breakthrough results, drive continuous improvement, and make a positive impact to profit and performance. This role reports to the Vice President of Operations and Supply Chain.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies for hardware components, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions, while maintaining strong, collaborative relationships.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about trends, pricing, and technology advancements, and leverage this knowledge to inform procurement decisions.
  • Cost Optimization: Analyze spending patterns and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and reliability in the supply chain.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and finance teams to understand requirements and ensure timely procurement of materials.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, and develop risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor procurement efficiency, supplier performance, and overall supply chain effectiveness.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification preferred.
  • 12+ years’ experience in operations, supply chain and/or manufacturing management roles including 5+ years’ experience leading supply chain function for technology hardware.
  • Expert knowledge of electronic component markets and suppliers.
  • Experience managing a fully outsourced global supply chain using large contract manufacturers, developing diverse vendor relationships and managing global networks especially Asia Pacific technology suppliers.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sourcing/supply management including excellent negotiation skills and experience with strategic sourcing methodologies.
  • Proven track record of successful supplier negotiation and management.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to travel frequently to domestic and international locations.

Salary is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is also eligible for an incentive compensation plan. The expected hiring salary for this position is:

$179,216.95 - $200,146.65
