The Climate & External Affairs Associate provides administrative, research, organizing and general support for climate & external affairs work. They coordinate efforts to build support for policies related to climate mitigation and adaptation, including but not limited to clean energy, agriculture and livestock, and land use. They will also support the Nature Conservancy's conservation goals by serving as a liaison and informational contact between the organization and outside agencies or companies.
The Climate & External Affairs Associate works on a variety of activities, with may include organizing, maintaining, and tracking files, and databases. The Associate is responsible for outreach and events, coordinating meetings, communications, and research. The Associate also assists in basic team administrative support.

Employment in this position will be contingent upon completion of a Vehicle Use Agreement, which may include a review of the prospective employee's motor vehicle record.
The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $50,000 - $57,000 for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges.
