This project focuses on migrating Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services to new hardware platforms while maintaining the existing IMS-based software application. The role requires an experienced IMS Network Engineer with a strong background in QA and Test Validation to conduct comprehensive testing of VoLTE services within the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) framework. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of IMS architecture, VoLTE call flows, SIP signaling, and proficiency in specialized IMS testing tools and methodologies. This is going to be a long term contract, located in either Bellevue, WA or Leawood, KS.
IMS Network Test Engineer Requirements:
5+ years of Mavenir IMS Core Network Platform Experience (if minimal IMS specifically, must be strong in Nokia background - must be version 1 or 1.5)
Must have TAS, I/S-CSCF and BGCF within IMS Solutions
Experience validating IMS E2E call flows.
This is critical for the QA/Test Validation aspect of the role, ensuring end-to-end functionality of VoLTE calls.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, TCP, UDP, SCTP, HTTP.
Must have the VoLTE experience within the network (Voice over LTE Network)
Interfaces: Sh, Cx, H.248, SIGTRAN
Protocols: SIP, DIAMETER, HTTP, SS7, MAP
Familiarity with UNIX, LINUX, Kubernetes, virtualization and Cloud Native.
Knowledge of protocol analysis, Wireshark, Netscout, tcpdump:
These tools are essential for debugging and analyzing VoLTE call flows and network traffic, which is a key part of QA and test validation.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with testing and troubleshooting on the Mavenir IMS TAS, CSCF and BGCF
IMS Network Test Engineer Responsibilities:
Support E2E validation of IMS solution, TAS, I/S-CSCF, BGCF software releases and features.
Support IMS core Lab issue diagnoses, troubleshooting and resolution
Design and execute rigorous test plans for regression, performance, and end-to-end validation of VoLTE calls in the IMS environment.
Manage increased testing frequency due to platform updates, maintaining consistent performance metrics, and optimizing test procedures for IMS-based VoLTE services.
Ensure seamless functionality, optimal voice quality, and adherence to IMS protocols across various platform changes
