Program Overview:

ANSER's Analyst Apprenticeship Program (AAP) offers exciting opportunities to recent master's program graduates who have limited work experience but want to focus on enhancing and applying their analytic, technical and business skills in support of critical National missions. During the apprenticeship, emphasis will be placed on developing critical professional competencies through execution of a range of technical and business-related tasks and activities; attendance to different technical trainings, lunch and learn sessions and other presentations; part-time support to appropriate client projects (if available); and one-on-one mentoring aimed at understanding ANSER's culture, corporate operations, and requirements of working in a professional environment with government clients. After 3 months of apprenticeship and mentoring, AAP analysts are transitioned to ANSER divisions that match their academic training and practical experience areas for full time client work in support of various government agencies and missions.

Program Start Date: January 2025

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance
  • Master's degree and 2-4 years' experience in academic, federal agency, military or corporate environment
  • Demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in conducting research and analysis using open-source resources
  • Experience with various qualitative and quantitative analysis methods
  • Experience with analytic and machine learning software (e.g., STATA, KUMU, VENSIM, Databricks and TensorFlow) from academic and technical areas of practice
  • Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of national and international policy issues
  • Experience with common data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Infogram, Data Wrapper, and Qlik Sense.
  • Understanding of relational databases such as MS Access
  • Understanding of HTML, XML and/or Java Applets
