Monitor the production process by spreading, inspecting and packing product.
Responsibilities
Must use both hands
Will be standing by a continually moving conveyor to spread and inspect goods
Remove scrap product from both sides of convey or belt and put into inedible barrel
Product is packed off on a running conveyor into boxes weighing 9 to 35 pounds depending on product
Boxes are then pushed down a running conveyor from scale, closed and pushed through tape machine and stacked on skids to a height of between 4-6 ft
Product is then transferred to freezer by use of palletjacks
Report any issues with product to lead/manager/supervisor
Work as a team under supervisor of lead
OT is often available
When line is down sweep/clean production area
Follow all safety rules and regulations per established company policies
Perform all other duties as assigned
Follows established equipment Lockout/Tagout procedures as required
Employee Safety Responsibilities:
Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and horseplay
Use proper lifting techniques
Use mechanical assistance (handjack, forklift, manlift)
Use personal assistance (buddy)
Use handrails
Use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Temperatures throughout plant average 50 degrees. Required to wear hairnet, smock, boots, ear plugs, gloves, plastic sleeves, and aprons provided by the Company. Need to comply with Food Safety: GMP’S, SSOP, SOP, HACCP, SQF, and Quality requirements.
