Job Description:
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Operates a lattice boom type crane to hoist and move materials, raise and lower heavy weights and perform other related operation
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May be crawler type or rubber-tired.
May include placement of rock riprap, clamshell, dragline, pipe and pile driving operations.
May oil, grease or otherwise service and make necessary adjustments to equipment as needed.
Whatever enhances the operations of the company.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Less than a High School Diploma
Five (5) years' experience operating a crane on road and bridge construction projects
Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
MANUAL DEXTERITY
Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
