Business Support Generalist

Provide business operations support to the Department of Neurological Sciences. Perform regular analyses of department finances including startup, discretionary, professional development, and general fund accounts. Process, audit, and perform monthly reallocations of all department purchasing cards. Provide guidance to internal stakeholders concerning allowability of expenses, processing corrections via journal entry when appropriate. Assist department faculty and research laboratories with general purchasing requests requiring the creation of requisitions and/or service contracts. Coordinate travel and expense reimbursement for department faculty, staff, and affiliates.

Associates degree in related area and one to three years of business/accounting required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Peoplesoft experience highly desirable.

$20.00-$26.00/hour

A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
